ShowsPaul Vance
Attorney at law January 28, 2020 When it comes to Flint athletics and rich sports tradition there aren’t many people who can say they come from a more Flintstone laden family history than Paul Vance. His family has been involved in Flint sports for 100 years!
His dad Mike was the last Athletic Director at Flint Central, and a legendary track coach there, his mom Nancy was a coach (and taught Fish how to swim!), his brother Tony Vance was a stellar athlete at Central, and he even has a relative who was a start football player at Central right after the school was built in 1923. Now that’s an enviable Flint sports pedigree. Paul graduated from Flint Central where he played football, basketball, and soccer. From there he moved on to become a Michigan State Spartan soccer team captain. Now he’s a pillar of the Flint legal community as a partner at Cline, Cline & Griffin located in downtown Flint. Not surprisingly, there’s a ton of Flint history there as well. His firm is the oldest practicing law firm in Flint and has been housed in the Mott Foundation Building since the iron workers and plasterer’s finished their work in 1929. It’s a fast hour of Flint history with Paul, who bleeds Flint Central red and black (and Spartan green and white), but above it all are the words “True Flintstone” tatted on his heart. |
