March 3, 2021
Brian is back with Fish and the crew to talk about a myriad of topics.
He’s a man who has seemingly led multiple lives. A product of the Flint schools, he went on to serve his country in the military and returned to serve his hometown as a member of the Flint Police Department. He’s also a pastor, author, and volunteer. That’s a lot to pack in!
Many of you may recognize him from his central role in the acclaimed Netflix documentary Flint Town. Many have read his book, Soul of A Black Cop.
In 2006, Brian was awarded the President’s Volunteer Service Award by President George W. Bush and was later honored with an invitation to meet with President Bush at the White House, in 2008. Along the way, he has also maintained sturdy involvement with Flint’s kids, including mentoring and athletic coaching. To say he’s had a varied and contributive career would be to understate the fact, significantly.
