ShowsEric Rutter, Sports Journalist (First Segment)
Brent Williams, NFL star, Nextgen Camps Director (Second Segment) August 13, 2020 First all high school and college football and sports were cancelled. Then high school sports were back on, but without fans, cheerleaders or bands. College football? Not allowed in Michigan, the Big Ten or the Pac 10. Only pro football allowed in Michigan, but without fans. Then all of a sudden the Big Ten was back on. Confused yet? We sure were. So we called in the experts as usual to help make sense of it.
We brought in our good friend Eric Rutter, writer for Sports Illustrated, and long time college football, and Michigan Football expert. He lived and worked in Flint and was heavily involved in the high school football community here. Eric has tremendous access to what's happening in the college football world, and has his finger on the pulse of the game's leaders. He's joined by another of our friends and long time NFL star with the New England Patriots, college star at Toledo, and Flint Northern Viking Brent Williams. Not only is his experience extensive but he also has had kids at multiple major collegiate programs, and his son is a top executive in the NFL with the Patriots. Brent also runs the largest athletic prep program in the country called Next Gen. We talk about what's next for football nationally and right here in Flint and throughout Michigan. |
