Victor George(s)
Flint Automotive History
Victor George Dealership History

June 29, 2022
There is something about having two first names that is inherently memorable.

Victor George.

That name would be an easy one to recall.

But in Flint and Genesee County it’s particularly resonant. That’s because it is also the name of a family business, and a major part of the automobile story of America   When you say the name Victor George you’re not just talking about a person. You are talking about a thread of the fabric of the community that also reflects a foundational element of the business community and an important part of so many folks lives. There are a few names that become brands. The Victor George name is one of those rare few. Not only does it represent history, it is the story of a family and their journey through the American Century in Flint.

The stories of selling a new car on the spur of the moment to one of the most powerful Admirals in the world in Flint, and meetings with Billy Durant and Walter Chrysler in Flint are the tip of the iceberg in this very historical and fun janunt down memory lane with the senior holder of the Victor George automotive legacy.

Their names are easy to remember too: Victor George Senior, and Victor George Junior. They’re on hand to tell their story to Fish in the Aquarium, and you can definitely sense that luxurious new car smell!
