Primary Prevention Physiotherapy, Entrepreneur
April 7, 2021
Amber Schlemmer started out as a trainer while studying to be a Physical Therapist, and along the way she impacted scores of lives, improving their health forever. Whether training collegiate athletes at Michigan State (where she completed her undergrad), executives and business people at Genesys Athletic Center in Grand Blanc, or now in her own business and facilities, she brought her ‘A’ game every single day. She also completed her PhD at the University of Michigan while working and being a mom and wife, so she she’s a Spartan AND a Wolverine. Although as a dyed in the wool Spartan, she won’t readily admit the Wolverine part)!
Her mission was always clear - to be proactive and help as many people as possible. But beyond that she wanted to run things her way. So she embraced her inner entrepreneur and created her own company to accomplish that.
Primary Physiotherapy is the firm she built and it has grown exponentially since inception. A product of Flushing, it was natural for her to set up shop in her hometown backyard, and she did just that. Since then she’s added a location in Fenton. The growth isn’t a surprise because that’s been her guiding principle - both professionally and personally.
Now she has positioned herself as a beacon of health, strength, recovery, education, and most of all proactivity. All of these attributes coalescing to help Flint and Genesee County people take charge of their health and physical destinies. Few callings could be higher. Amber join’s Fish in the Aquarium to break it all down!
